The 7th edition of SURVIVAL Young Art in Extreme Conditions Review in the starting blocks. The competition for artistic realisations has been decided, curators’ film projects and the music scene tempt with avant-garde programmes.
During this year’s edition of the Review, around 40 works of artists not only from Poland will be presented, all of whom use contemporary artistic strategies. Installations, sound installations, painting, video art, interactive multimedia projects – all of this can be seen for four days: from 25 to 28 June, 2009, in the unique surroundings of the Four Domes Pavilion of the Feature Films Studio.
Apart from the presentations of visual arts, there will be two Curator’s Film Projects within SURVIVAL: a series of young Polish animated films prepared by Adriana Prodeus, and documentary reminiscences of Wrocław Feature Films Studio in its heyday, led by Inga Leśniewska.
In the courtyard of the Four Domes Pavilion, SURVIVAL’s festival club will appear, being a café during the day and a concert stage at night. The ‘Four Domes Sounds’ concert stage (June 25-26, 2009) will host stars of contemporary music, such as Jackie-O Motherfucker, Shackleton, Astral Social Club, or 8rolek.
