The performance of the EUHUU! group may be interpreted in terms of the impossibility of participation in making the rules which govern the hierarchical structure of professionalised fields, which include both professional sport and art. The work was based on the ambivalence emphasising the relationships of power. Four artists’ heads stuck out above the football pitch. Buried in the ground up to their necks, they could not make any move, contrary to the spectators standing at their line of vision. The audience looking down on them had to confront the absolute power they were given at that moment. A football lying between the heads additionally emphasised the spectators’ advantage. However, the title of the work does not make it clear who is winning. It remains an open question whether it is artists or spectators who can influence the rules of art more.
