Backstage

Lack of communication. The simple gesture of reversing the goalposts does not determine the outcome of a game as much as it pictures a lack of any dialogue. The work refers metaphorically to a stalemate. The game has not ended in a draw because it has not happened at all. The reason for this impasse is not animosity or hatred, but communicative impotence, the inability to enter into a discussion.
