Mob
Mob is a found-footage film showing images documenting a competition of young American cheerleaders. This sweet, at times touching sight of competing little girls is in stark contrast with the audio background – a compilation of shouts and chanting of Polish football fans. Juxtaposing girlish expression, which is simultaneously elegant and naive, and fans’ aggressive and vulgar cheering on their favourite teams, seems to be lacking justification. However, the common denominator in both cases is the tension and sincere devotion as well as determination to win.
